Small neighborhood post office.b

Dont leave your pre-paid packages there. Was told they dont give receipts for pre-paid, but portage USPS offers to give me a receipt every time. Left one on the counter there as instructed and it completely disappeared off the face of the earth, was never scanned or seen again. Later was told they charge to give a receipt....what?

Tried to call at 10AM on a week day. The phone rang for over 3 mins until there was a busy signal because the USPS person, without ever answering the phone, hung up on me.......twice

Why is this the only post office that doesn't give receipts for prepaid postage??? I am expected to leave my package here and not have any proof??? So when it comes up missing, I lose money replacing it or giving my customer a refund???? I called USPS' corporate hotline and was told, not to leave my package with anyone that won't give me a receipt and to report them to the local Postmaster. I appreciate the new faces that do their job and give receipts. Those weekend workers' attitudes are hideous, acting like they are doing me a favor by doing their job. Sometimes, I just drive to the main office or another town. Gary wants improvement in economic development but makes it financial contributors patronize other towns. Get it together!
