Tried to go here. It was unclear how to get in, possibly through a liquor store to the side. The liquor store was behind glass, insulting to the neighborhood. This was a major turn-off, so we left.
The food used to be good. Do they still sell dinners?
They have this DJ on the weekend, he's called DJ Uncle Ell and he's the top rated. The atmosphere is great.
The Elbow Room is a Lounge located in Gary Indiana. It's mainly a venue for stepping and consists of mostly an older crowd. On some nights smoking is allowed. I've seen this on a Thursday night but don't recall this on Friday or Saturday evenings. Ventilation system is decent so after smoking stops there is no residual odor. drinks are a generous pour so it will not take you a lot of money or a lot of time to get to where you're going
